Who are we?
The Municipality of the 12th District of Budapest (Hegyvidék) is the local government body responsible for administrating Budapest's greenest district. Hegyvidék is a hilly, partly suburban area in the western part of the Hungarian capital with about 58,000 inhabitants. The district has the most extensive green space area within the capital - green area per capita is around 170m2. Hegyvidék can be divided into three zones: a densely built-up downtown zone, a mostly residential zone, and a forest zone called Normafa.

The Green Office has four main responsibilities:
- Mandatory official tasks (littering, noise, uprooting ragweed, planting trees, etc.)
